At the core of this collaboration is the integration of Exein's cybersecurity technology into LILIN's IP camera firmware, giving one of Taiwan's most established security vendors a commercial-grade, kernel-level defense layer built for the next generation of connected surveillance devices.

Tailor-Made Protection for a Constrained Hardware Ecosystem
Runtime Lite is now validated and running on LILIN's flagship PTZ IP Camera. PTZ IP cameras run on tightly constrained firmware and limited memory, leaving little room for heavyweight security software. Exein and LILIN'S engineering teams worked closely to solve for exactly that, by including:
- Customized, Lightweight Implementation: Exein developed a highly customized security solution tailored to LILIN'S firmware constraints, embedding protection without compromising device performance.
- Deeper Supply Chain Coverage: Exein extended upstream and downstream support to strengthen the security of digital elements and the software supply chain throughout the firmware.
- Strong R&D Collaboration: Together, the two teams validated Exein's real-time defense and kernel-level micro-monitoring capabilities in a real-world IP camera environment.
Protecting a Flagship Product
Exein's cybersecurity solution is now fully integrated into LILIN'S Thermal PTZ IP Cam, an infrared thermal-tracking network camera, equipping it with commercial-grade defenses against advanced attacks such as remote code execution and privilege escalation.
The timing matters: the EU's Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is raising the bar on security-by-design and SBOM requirements for connected hardware. By building this protection directly into its flagship product, Lilin accelerates its path to CRA compliance, gains a head start in the global high-end security market, and sets a new benchmark for Taiwan's security ecosystem as manufacturers compete for orders amid the broader restructuring of global supply chains.
